Hedge Fund Suitability
Investing in a Hedge Fund
Might Be Appropriate if You:
-
Want to diversity your portfolio
-
Have a net worth of more than $1,000,000.00 USD or an
annual income of $200,000
-
Are willing to potentially receive taxable long-term
and short-term capital gains in a Limited Partnership.
-
Are looking for an investment device that is not exposed
to 100% Market Risk.
-
Would like to be exposed to “Short-Sale”
positions in stocks that are "over-valued" and benefit on a
price decrease.
General process:
Prospective
investors must receive and read a hedge fund’s Private Placement Memorandum, which contains important
information regarding expenses and risk. PPM
should be carefully read before funds are allocated.
PPM and subscription documents can be requested after an investor suitability
questionnaire is completed and sent back to the fund.
